Industrial sectional doors – expanding possibilities

Industrial sectional doors have made the great technological leap in a past few years.
Of course the most popular size still remains 3 X 3 meters for docking stations. But demand for extra size doors is constantly increasing. The main customers are shipyards, power plants, small airports and agriculture companies.
There are three main challenges for extra size doors: wind load resistance, own weight and counterbalance system to make the doors work. Usually extra size doors are placed on the sea shore or in open spaces where the winds blow with high power. Increasing size of the door increase weight of the panels (e.g. 15m X 6 m door panels can weigh up to 2000 lb). Powerful counterbalance system is necessary to handle such a huge machine.
New design of lightweight sections, aluminum reinforcement profiles and powerful operators allow making doors much wider and higher. Engineers of Ryterna have developed several different counterbalance systems allowing to operate extra size doors. At present time Ryterna can produce doors up to 15 m width or up to 15 m height.
The main advantages of extra size sectional doors are long service life, low maintenance costs, high thermal resistance, easily withstand effects of environment, competitive price and short production terms.
All extra size doors are bespoke made according to customer’s demands. Ryterna can provide installation services.
